Jan. 6 hearing witness: Irate Trump grabbed wheel, demanded to go to Capitol
It was among the the shortest but most shocking Jan. 6 general public hearings so far.
Cassidy Hutchinson, for approximately two-several hours Tuesday, testified that Trump and Meadows had been informed the Capitol was a focus on and that Trump supporters at the “Help save America” rally were being armed with weapons when the president informed urged them to march to the Capitol on Jan. 6.
She explained Trump told aides to let individuals with weapons previous security and into the crowd, which he was “furious” about owing to its measurement, with Hutchinson recalling Trump expressing, “‘I will not care that they have weapons. In a assertion to ABC News, Roger Stone mentioned it was “Wrong” that he spoke to Meadows on the cell phone on Jan. 5 “or any other day.”
